Navi Naisang’s work explores our psychological relationships with shadows through the use of self portraiture. She gathers inspiration from Jungian psychology, mysticism, religious symbolism and insect mythology, which aid in creating her vibrant dreamlike paintings and drawings. She hopes that by exposing her most vulnerable self through her work she will connect with those who share an affinity for the darker side of human nature.
Navi Naisang received her BFA from Western Carolina University and has participated in artist residencies with New York Academy of Art and Vermont Studio Center. She currently lives and works in Asheville, North Carolina gathering endless inspiration from the Blue Ridge Mountains for future pieces.
